Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DoD
- Mentor PhD interns and junior researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
