Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error correction methodologies
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Partner with hardware teams to prototype quantum-native applications
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for advanced research
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum processors
- Track record of securing research funding (NSF, DoE, etc.)
