Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals and conferences
- mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Passion for translating theoretical concepts into practical applications
