Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and molecular simulation
- Operate and maintain cryogenic quantum processors at millikelvin temperatures
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum methodologies
- Collaborate with NASA, DARPA, and academic partners on national quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in logistics, drug discovery, and AI
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum gate-based systems or photonic processors
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction methodologies
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded quantum projects
