Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant cybersecurity solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with 3+ annual publications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI researchers to create hybrid quantum-classical ML frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC/Cloud)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or industry research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting circuits
