Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit stability and error correction
- Lead cross-functional research projects in quantum machine learning
- Develop ethical guidelines for quantum-powered AI systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government/private funding
- Contribute to quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and quantum simulators
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts
