Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead prototyping of superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry research grants
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience securing DoE/NIST research grants
- US citizenship required for government contract work
