Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop novel quantum hardware architectures with error correction capabilities
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, PennyLane)
