Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and test quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives with publication goals in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing patent portfolios
- Present findings at international conferences and industry summits
- Secure research funding through NSF/NIH grants and corporate partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor, Grover, VQE) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Published work in quantum computing or related high-impact journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, ion traps, photonic)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and lead technical teams
