Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026 use cases in machine learning and drug discovery
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum circuit optimization
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 10+ qubit coherence
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (IBM Q, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complex analysis
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
