Responsibilities
- Lead Research Initiatives: Spearhead the development of novel algorithms aimed at the 2026 technology horizon, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- Model Development: Design, train, and optimize deep learning architectures, including Transformers and diffusion models, to achieve state-of-the-art performance.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior researchers and engineers, conducting code reviews and technical architecture planning sessions.
- Publication & Patenting: Author high-impact research papers for top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ACL) and secure patents for proprietary technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product and engineering teams to translate research breakthroughs into scalable production models.
- Industry Analysis: Conduct rigorous competitive analysis to ensure Horizon AI Labs remains ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI/ML research, with a proven track record of published papers and industry implementation.
- Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and CUDA. Deep understanding of distributed systems and high-performance computing.
- Specialization: Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), or Computer Vision is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
