Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify and validate emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop and publish annual FutureWorks Foresight Report with quantifiable strategic recommendations
- Design and facilitate executive innovation workshops to align leadership on long-term strategic priorities
- Create scenario-planning frameworks for 5-10 year business transformations
- Manage cross-functional implementation teams to pilot futuristic concepts
- Represent FutureWorks at global futurist conferences and thought leadership platforms
- Build and maintain proprietary foresight database using AI-powered trend analysis tools
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, innovation management, or futurist research with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products/services
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership in futurist publications (e.g., Futures Journal)
- Experience with strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Exceptional executive communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures narratives
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful innovation implementations
