The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of quantum software and algorithm development, working closely with our hardware research teams to bridge the gap between theory and reality.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation tasks.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-correcting codes and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Conduct research on quantum supremacy and its implications for current software stacks.
- Optimize quantum circuits for latency and fidelity on emerging quantum processors.
- Mentor junior engineers and define coding standards for the quantum software team.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with a focus on Quantum Mechanics.
- 3+ years of experience in quantum computing, with strong proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience with quantum software frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Deep understanding of linear algebra and probability theory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
