Responsibilities
- Algorithm Development: Design and optimize control algorithms (e.g., Model Predictive Control, Reinforcement Learning) for bipedal locomotion and manipulation tasks.
- System Integration: Integrate perception modules (vision, LIDAR) with actuation systems to ensure real-time decision-making and stability.
- R&D Leadership: Lead a team of junior engineers in researching novel approaches for energy efficiency and dexterity in robotics.
- Simulation & Validation: Develop high-fidelity physics simulations to test prototypes in virtual environments before physical deployment.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation and architecture diagrams for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prototyping: Iterate rapidly on hardware-software integration, ensuring robustness in dynamic environments.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in robotics software development, preferably with humanoid or mobile manipulators.
- Programming: Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in ROS (Robot Operating System) 2.
- Mathematics: Strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and kinematics/dynamics.
- Tools: Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
