Responsibilities
- Develop and test features for mobile/web applications using JavaScript/React
- Collaborate in agile sprints to deliver iterative solutions for local business clients
- Contribute to open-source projects benefiting Detroit's civic tech initiatives
- Participate in daily stand-ups and retrospectives with cross-functional teams
- Create technical documentation and API specifications
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Present project progress to stakeholders bi-weekly
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Computer Science or related degree (Sophomore/Junior level)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and version control (Git)
- Familiarity with React.js and responsive design principles
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and database fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Available for 20-30 hours/week through Fall 2023
