Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using React and Node.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features for our sustainability platform
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Write clean, testable code following industry best practices
- Contribute to open-source projects serving Oakland's environmental initiatives
- Present project progress and solutions to engineering leadership
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React preferred)
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Available for 20-30 hours/week during Summer 2024 or Fall 2024
- Portfolio demonstrating personal or academic projects
