We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in the heart of Austin, Texas. At Apex Innovations, we are committed to fostering the next generation of technology leaders through hands-on experience and mentorship.
This is a full-time, on-site internship requiring 40 hours per week. You will have the unique opportunity to work on real-world projects, earn college credit, and make a tangible impact on our product suite while receiving guidance from industry experts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers and product managers to design, code, and test high-quality software solutions.
- Participate actively in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and agile planning sessions to ensure project milestones are met.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing codebases to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, API specs, and user manuals.
- Engage in continuous learning workshops regarding modern development frameworks, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our user experience through UI/UX testing and feedback implementation.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or C#).
- Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git, and workflows like Git Flow.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to writing clean, efficient code.
- Ability to commute to our Austin office on a full-time basis.
