Responsibilities
- Develop and test security monitoring tools using Python and Java
- Analyze network traffic patterns to detect anomalies
- Document vulnerabilities using industry-standard frameworks
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on threat intelligence
- Present findings to senior leadership bi-weekly
- Contribute to open-source security projects
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Computer Science or Cybersecurity degree
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Experience with Linux command-line and scripting
- Familiarity with SQL and database concepts
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Available for 40 hours/week through summer 2024
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
