Are you a driven university student ready to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application? Apex Innovations is seeking a talented Software Engineering Intern to join our high-growth team in Raleigh, NC.
This is a paid internship designed for students to earn college credit while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work alongside senior engineers to build scalable solutions, participate in agile ceremonies, and contribute to projects that power our clients' digital transformations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design to deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using modern languages and frameworks.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure code quality.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers.
- Document technical specifications and architectural decisions for future reference.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C++).
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
