Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices using Python/Java in AWS/GCP environments
- Implement RESTful APIs and optimize database performance (PostgreSQL/MongoDB)
- Write unit tests and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning
- Debug and resolve production issues under senior guidance
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams on feature implementation
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in Python or Java with understanding of OOP principles
- Familiarity with SQL databases and RESTful APIs
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Available for 20-40 hours/week through Fall 2024
