Responsibilities
- Develop and test secure software applications using Java, Python, and C++
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement authentication and encryption protocols
- Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities through code reviews and penetration testing
- Document technical specifications and contribute to engineering wikis
- Participate in Agile sprints and daily stand-up meetings
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and contribute to mitigation strategies
- Present project progress and findings to senior engineers
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C++
- Basic understanding of network security principles (OSI model, firewalls)
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Available for 20-40 hours/week during Summer/Fall 2024
