CloudStream Systems is looking for a driven Software Engineering Intern to join our team in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. We are a fast-paced, innovative company dedicated to building scalable solutions for enterprise clients. This is an exceptional opportunity for students graduating this Summer or those starting in the Fall to gain hands-on experience in a real-world engineering environment.
As an Intern, you won't just be fetching coffee; you will be writing production code, attending sprint planning meetings, and contributing to the architecture of products used by thousands of users daily.
Responsibilities
- Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and agile sprint planning sessions to ensure project milestones are met.
- Debugging: Identify and resolve software defects and bugs in existing applications to ensure high-quality user experiences.
- Testing: Assist in creating unit tests and integration tests to verify the reliability of new features.
- Documentation: Update technical documentation and contribute to project wikis to support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Innovation: Research emerging technologies and propose improvements to current development workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Graduation date between May 2024 and December 2025.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Programming: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript).
- Web Knowledge: Familiarity with web development frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) or backend technologies (Node.js, Django) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.
- Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
