The Role
As a Full-Time Intern at Apex, you will be integrated directly into our Agile development teams. You will collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and deploy software features, gaining invaluable experience in a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of high-quality software applications using modern technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure project alignment and code quality.
- Debug and resolve technical issues in existing applications and troubleshoot user-reported bugs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers to define feature requirements.
- Create technical documentation, including API specs and user guides, to support the development lifecycle.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities, attending workshops and training sessions provided by the company.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status preferred).
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship position.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) or back-end databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
