Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and test high-quality software solutions.
- Code Implementation: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in various programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
- Debugging & Maintenance: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and bugs within the existing codebase.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and code comments.
- Testing: Assist in unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure software reliability.
- Meetings: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code review sessions to align with project goals.
- Research: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Programming Skills: Basic to intermediate knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or Go).
- Academic Standing: Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
- Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Availability: Ability to commit to a full-time internship schedule (40 hours/week) for the Summer or Fall semester.
