Apex Systems Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Summer/Fall Intern to join our weekend operations team in Austin, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced tech environment while enjoying the flexibility of weekend shifts. As part of our elite internship program, you will work closely with our engineering and product teams to support critical weekend releases and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist Development Teams: Support software engineers with code reviews, debugging, and unit testing during weekend sprints.
- System Monitoring: Monitor application performance and server health to ensure zero downtime for our users.
- Documentation: Update technical documentation and runbooks based on weekend operational activities.
- QA Support: Participate in automated and manual testing cycles to ensure software quality.
- User Feedback: Assist in gathering and analyzing user feedback from weekend beta testing groups.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays) for the duration of the Summer/Fall term.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Python is preferred.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote or hybrid setting.
