Responsibilities
- Assist the software engineering team in the design, development, and testing of web applications and mobile solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and quality assurance to deliver high-quality software products.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in daily stand-up meetings to track project progress and identify potential blockers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Research emerging technologies and industry best practices to recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Support the creation of technical documentation, API specifications, and user manuals.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues reported by internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Familiarity with at least one modern programming language and basic understanding of databases (SQL).
- Knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git, is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a logical approach to debugging.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Availability to start in Summer or Fall 2024.
