Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, alerts, and uptime during night shift operations to ensure 99.9% availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by internal teams or clients in real-time.
- Assist in the deployment of software patches, updates, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with the night operations crew to document incident reports and root cause analyses.
- Perform routine system checks and backups to maintain data integrity.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to align on project goals.
- Research and document new technologies that could improve our night shift workflows.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Must be available to start between May and September 2024 (Summer/Fall start).
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
