Responsibilities
- Development & Maintenance: Assist in the design, coding, and debugging of software applications and systems under the guidance of senior developers.
- Night Operations Support: Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues during evening and night shifts to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Documentation: Write clear, concise technical documentation, including API documentation, code comments, and technical specifications.
- Testing & QA: Participate in the testing process by creating test cases and performing unit testing to ensure software quality.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product managers and designers) to define and implement new features.
- Code Review: Review code written by peers and participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work a night shift schedule (e.g., 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM) with the ability to work occasional weekend coverage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript. Familiarity with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development workflows.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Start Date: Available to start between May and August (Summer) or September (Fall).
