Responsibilities
- Assist in Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various platforms to identify and engage potential candidates for open positions.
- Screening & Interviewing: Conduct preliminary phone screens and coordinate interview schedules for hiring managers.
- Market Research: Analyze local tech trends in Virginia Beach and the broader Georgia region to identify talent gaps.
- Content Creation: Help manage social media channels and write engaging posts to attract top talent.
- Administrative Support: Maintain candidate databases and prepare recruitment reports.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing local networking events and career fairs.
- Onboarding Support: Contribute to the orientation process for new hires to ensure a smooth integration.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available for a part-time schedule (15-20 hours/week) during Summer and Fall.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Virginia Beach and Georgia area is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
