Responsibilities
- Support departmental projects through research, data collection, and report preparation
- Assist with community outreach initiatives and public event coordination
- Shadow city officials during meetings and policy development sessions
- Contribute to digital content creation for city communications channels
- Participate in cross-departmental training sessions and professional development workshops
- Maintain accurate project documentation and progress tracking
- Present findings to department leadership in bi-weekly check-ins
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program
- Availability for 15-25 hours/week during summer semester (June-August)
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in public sector operations or local government
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in team environments
- Must arrange for college credit through your institution
- Valid Arizona driver's license (if transportation between sites required)
