Responsibilities
- Assist with research and analysis of municipal policies and community initiatives
- Support public outreach campaigns and stakeholder engagement events
- Contribute to departmental reports and data visualization projects
- Shadow senior staff in city council meetings and administrative hearings
- Participate in cross-functional projects addressing urban challenges
- Develop professional skills through weekly leadership workshops
- Document best practices in local government operations
- Present internship findings to department leadership
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university (Sophomore-Senior standing)
- Major in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- Strong research and analytical abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse team environments
- Interest in local government and community development
- Valid driver's license (for occasional off-site meetings)
