Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, network traffic, and system logs during night shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Escalate and troubleshoot technical incidents reported by internal teams with urgency and precision.
- Conduct routine security patching and maintenance tasks on critical infrastructure.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and system updates in our knowledge base.
- Assist in the deployment of software updates and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with the day shift team during the transition period to ensure seamless continuity.
- Participate in weekly code reviews and sprint planning meetings.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Willingness and ability to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic scripting skills (Python or Bash) are a strong plus.
- Must be available for a minimum 12-week summer commitment.
