Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Monitor server logs and network traffic to ensure 99.9% uptime during night operations.
- Data Analysis: Assist the data team in processing large datasets and identifying trends for reporting.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues reported by internal stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of technical issues and resolutions in the company knowledge base.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with senior staff to suggest optimizations for current night shift workflows.
- Support: Provide tier-1 technical support to remote teams operating in different time zones.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer, specifically on night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members in a remote/hybrid setting.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and punctuality are essential for this role.
