Responsibilities
- Monitor Systems: Oversee server performance, network traffic, and system logs during evening hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Troubleshoot: Assist the technical support team in diagnosing and resolving complex software and hardware issues for internal stakeholders.
- Deployment Support: Collaborate with the DevOps team to manage code deployments and database updates during low-traffic windows.
- Data Analysis: Perform data entry, validation, and analysis of nightly reports to support decision-making processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including runbooks and incident reports for the night shift handover.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve blockers and ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Vocational program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- Schedule: Must be available to work full-time night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM) Monday through Friday during the summer months.
- College Credit: Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship and provide proof of enrollment.
- Technical Basics: Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and scripting languages is a plus.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Reliability: A disciplined work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
