Responsibilities
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for government clients
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) dashboards and analyze threat intelligence
- Develop scripts for automated security monitoring using Python and PowerShell
- Participate in incident response simulations and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture reviews
- Research emerging cyber threats and contribute to threat reports
- Present findings to senior leadership during weekly team meetings
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Nmap)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (requires US citizenship)
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows command-line environments
- Previous internship or academic project experience preferred
