Responsibilities
- Monitor network security systems and respond to alerts during night shift hours
- Assist with incident documentation and preliminary troubleshooting of IT infrastructure
- Perform routine system maintenance and security patch deployments
- Collaborate with global teams on cybersecurity protocols and best practices
- Document operational procedures and create knowledge base articles
- Participate in simulated cybersecurity drills and threat response exercises
- Support user access management and system audits
- Shadow senior engineers during critical incident escalations
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related program
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work 3-4 nights per week (11 PM - 7 AM)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification preferred (not required)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in fast-paced environments
