Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain server hardware/network infrastructure during night shifts
- Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting for critical IT assets
- Document operational procedures and incident reports
- Collaborate with remote teams on system updates and maintenance windows
- Support physical security protocols for data center facilities
- Assist with capacity planning and performance optimization tasks
- Participate in cross-functional IT projects during shift handovers
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, IT, or related program (Sophomore/Junior level)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license (for facility access requirements)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred
- Availability for summer/fall start (June-September)
