Responsibilities
- Monitor Systems: Perform routine monitoring and health checks of server infrastructure and network systems during night shifts.
- Troubleshooting: Assist the senior engineering team in diagnosing and resolving technical issues that arise during off-peak hours.
- Data Entry & Analysis: Update databases and generate reports on system performance and incident logs.
- Security Support: Assist in identifying potential security vulnerabilities and patching systems as directed.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs and documentation of daily operations and technical tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the day-shift team to ensure smooth transitions and handovers.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Availability: Must be available to work the night shift (typically 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) during the summer months.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and scripting languages is a plus.
- Reliability: Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain high standards of reliability.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
