Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory changes for healthcare and education policy clients
- Research and draft policy memos and congressional correspondence
- Monitor congressional hearings and agency briefings for key developments
- Support stakeholder engagement events and coalition-building activities
- Conduct quantitative data analysis using Excel and policy databases
- Prepare briefing materials for senior advisors and client meetings
- Shadow federal agency meetings and congressional hearings
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Interest in federal legislative process and healthcare/education policy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- US citizenship or valid work authorization required
- Previous internship or coursework in policy preferred
