Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers: Work closely with our development team to design, code, and test new features for our flagship web applications.
- Contribute to Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, write clean and efficient code, and help debug issues to ensure product stability.
- Document Technical Specifications: Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specs and system architecture diagrams.
- Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to contribute ideas and track progress.
- Build Scalable Solutions: Assist in the development of microservices and backend logic using modern cloud technologies.
- Research Emerging Tech: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and propose innovative solutions to improve our tech stack.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Development Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (like Git) and an understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic technical problems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts simply.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time for the duration of the summer (12+ weeks) and based in the Indianapolis area.
