Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning models for government data analytics projects
- Assist in creating data visualization dashboards for public sector clients
- Conduct research on emerging AI applications in public policy
- Participate in agile development cycles for civic tech products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cybersecurity initiatives
- Document technical processes and prepare project deliverables
- Present findings to stakeholders through demo sessions
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Proficiency in Python and at least one ML framework (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Experience with SQL and data manipulation libraries (Pandas/NumPy)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Availability for 20-30 hours/week during June-August
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for federal projects
- Portfolio showcasing data science or AI projects preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
