Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy full-stack web applications using React, Node.js, and MongoDB
- Analyze urban mobility datasets using Python and Pandas to optimize city logistics
- Participate in agile sprint cycles with cross-functional engineering teams
- Contribute to open-source projects addressing Oakland's community challenges
- Mentor junior interns through collaborative code reviews and pair programming
- Present project findings to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program (any year)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and version control (Git)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work 40 hours/week from June through August
- Valid work authorization for the United States required
- Portfolio demonstrating personal or academic projects required
