Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for mobile and web applications using Figma
- Conduct user research and usability testing with diverse participant groups
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design mockups
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing)
- Present design solutions and iterate based on stakeholder feedback
- Document design systems and maintain component libraries
- Participate in design critique sessions and portfolio workshops
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or related program
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles
- Strong portfolio showcasing 3+ UX design projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during summer term
- Passion for solving user problems through design thinking
- Experience with user testing methodologies preferred
