Responsibilities
- Design regenerative urban infrastructure systems integrating solar/wind microgrids and water recycling networks
- Develop carbon-neutral building frameworks using AI-optimized passive design and smart materials
- Lead circular economy implementation for construction waste valorization and material lifecycle tracking
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across architecture, engineering, and climate science disciplines
- Model infrastructure resilience against climate extremes using advanced simulation platforms
- Secure LEED/Well certifications and implement ESG reporting frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Sustainable Architecture, or Environmental Systems
- 5+ years designing net-zero energy buildings or smart grid infrastructure
- Proficiency in BIM tools (Revit, Rhino) and climate modeling software (Ladybug, EnergyPlus)
- Experience with circular economy principles in construction materials
- LEED AP BD+C or WELL AP certification preferred
- Deep understanding of Austin's building codes and climate action initiatives
- Portfolio demonstrating regenerative design projects
