Responsibilities
- Lead multi-year innovation roadmaps targeting 2026+ technological breakthroughs in AI, quantum computing, and climate tech
- Analyze emerging trends, patent landscapes, and geopolitical shifts to identify high-impact opportunities
- Direct cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping and scaling futuristic solutions
- Develop strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and DARPA to pioneer next-gen technologies
- Present futuristic visions to C-suite executives and board members for funding alignment
- Author annual '2026 Horizon Report' predicting market disruptions and innovation opportunities
- Mentor junior futurists in foresight methodologies and scenario planning
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Technology Forecasting, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of launching products/tech with 5+ year market impact
- Expertise in AI ethics, biotech governance, or sustainable tech frameworks
- Published futurist work (books, white papers, or TED talks) preferred
- Proficiency in horizon scanning tools (e.g., Delphi method, scenario modeling)
- Experience securing $10M+ innovation budgets from private/public sectors
- Deep network in Silicon Valley, Cambridge (UK), and Singapore tech ecosystems
