Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling breakthrough technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats
- Manage R&D budgets exceeding $5M and drive ROI on innovation investments
- Present innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders and board members
- Foster a culture of experimentation through agile methodologies and rapid prototyping
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and industry disruptors
- Measure KPIs for innovation maturity and strategic impact
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging technology roles
- Proven track record launching at least 3 market-defining products/services
- Expertise in future forecasting methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi techniques)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Innovation
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks (Design Thinking, Lean Startup, TRIZ)
- Strong financial acumen for managing complex R&D portfolios
- Certification in innovation management or technology strategy preferred
- Experience with patent development and intellectual property strategy
