Our Austin-based innovation hub offers unparalleled resources, including a $50M R&D lab and partnerships with MIT and Stanford. You'll lead cross-functional teams of futurists, engineers, and designers to transform speculative concepts into market-ready innovations.
Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for emerging tech sectors (quantum, biotech, AI)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating future-focused solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis for disruptive technologies
- Secure $5M+ in innovation grants and strategic partnerships
- Present strategic visions to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists and build innovation frameworks
- Collaborate with global think tanks on future-forward initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurism
- Proven track record of scaling emerging technologies to market
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futurism
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation (patents, journals)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Deep knowledge of Web3, AI governance, and climate tech
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
