Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for 2026-era technologies including quantum AI and neural interfaces
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with market disruption timelines
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 5-10 year impact
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future-proofing into corporate strategy
- Manage portfolio of moonshot projects with $5M+ annual R&D budget
- Present findings to investors and board members through compelling data narratives
- Mentor junior futurists in emerging technology assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation management at Fortune 500 scale
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, AGI, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MS/PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar for trend analysis modeling
