Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, AR/VR 2.0) to forecast industry disruptions by 2026
- Develop comprehensive tech innovation roadmaps aligned with market evolution and business objectives
- Lead high-stakes strategy workshops with C-suite executives and external partners
- Build and mentor a future-focused innovation lab team of 8-12 specialists
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Center
- Publish thought leadership reports on tech ethics and sustainable digital transformation
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation budget through compelling business cases
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with proven impact on 5+ year roadmaps
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, neuromorphic AI, or decentralized systems)
- C-level experience in Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale tech environments
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (or equivalent demonstrable expertise)
- Published author in peer-reviewed tech journals or industry whitepapers
- Strong track record of scaling innovation teams from concept to commercialization
- Proficiency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Experience securing $3M+ annual R&D budgets
