Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology vision roadmap, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) for strategic integration
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate futuristic solutions
- Secure $5M+ annual funding for moonshot projects through investor relations and internal stakeholder alignment
- Establish and manage partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other innovation hubs
- Present strategic technology briefings to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Mentor a team of 12+ specialists in futurism, technology forecasting, and innovation management
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in C-suite or director-level roles
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 2026+ market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., neuromorphic computing, climate tech)
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding or venture capital for early-stage innovations
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Spectrum, TechCrunch, or similar premium outlets
- Mastery of scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management preferred
